Therapy is only one piece of the puzzle. In this section, we’re looking for the best ideas in addition to therapy or medical treatment that were helpful to your family. Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone who’s just received a diagnosis of teen depression or anxiety. What ideas—outside of caregivers and facilities, which are covered elsewhere—can you share that were most helpful in your recovery? The more specific the information, the better. For example, “My daughter volunteered after school at Pets in Need on East Bayshore Rd. in Palo Alto, www.petsinneed.org, twice a week”.
